What kind of program is best for a Mac to transfer my music files onto an mp3 player that is not an Ipod?

I just got a mac and I'm just figuring out how to use it! As it stands I don't know how to or even if there is a way to sinc music from Itunes onto my mp3 player. If there is a way then I would appreciate an educated detailed answer!
